As a devout country music fan, taking a trip to Nashville has always been on my travel agenda. I loved the city, and I cannot wait to go back! Seriously.. I’m ready to start planning. Here are just a few of my favorite experiences!
Located a few blocks from downtown Nashville is the old Marathon Automobile car factory. This historic landmark is now the home to several shops and businesses, including Antique Archaeology, Garage Coffee Shop, Corsair Distillery, and The Bang Candy Company.
I would highly recommend Pub 5! This is one of my favorite restaurants we visited. Awesome atmosphere and delicious food.
Three words: Best. Tacos. Ever.
As soon as I heard there was a letterpress shop inside of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, I immediately had to see what it was all about. Hatch Show Print designs and prints 500 to 600 posters each year for a variety of projects. They even offer tours where you can learn about the letterpress process and create your own poster!
During the Historic Tennessee tour, we were taken inside the home of President Andrew Jackson, The Belle Meade Plantation, and the Winery at Belle Meade Plantation – wine tasting included, of course. Seeing the decor and architecture in these homes that were built in the 1800s was breathtaking! It felt like going back in time.
It certainly would not have been a trip to Nashville without seeing a show at the Grand Ole Opry! During the backstage tour, we were able to get the inside scoop on what happens behind the scenes and see all of the fancy dressing rooms.
Finally, my most favorite experience was going zip lining! This was my first time, and I am absolutely dying to go again. The guides were awesome, and flying through the trees was incredible. Music City Ziplines is located at the beautiful Fontanel.
