We turned our engagement session into an engagement trip and it was the BEST decision! 🌵✨
When Deana and I were first chatting about photos and setting up our engagement session, I asked her *hypothetically* what it would look like if we wanted to have our photos taken somewhere adventurey.. I was torn between not doing engagement photos at all OR doing them all out and going somewhere fun! 💃🏻
She explained the deets of how it would work and gave suggestions of locations somewhat nearby that we could go for an adventure vibe.. Colorado.. South Dakota.. she THEN mentioned she and Matt would soon be in Arizona for a wedding and that it just so happened to be her favorite place on earth.
I instantly LOVED this idea. Arizona was somewhere I had been wanting to go, and if Deana loved it I knew I would love it too! 🤗
Book a trip in the middle of busy season – WHY NOT?!
There were a lot of reasons ‘why not’ lol.
But then I thought about how with so many things in life, it never really feels like the “right time.” Day-to-day demands are always going to be standing in the way.
If we don’t MAKE the time, life passes by real quick. This season is flying by more quickly than any other. Soon after we got engaged, I headed straight into busy season so we didn’t have a ton of time to relax and soak it in.
Making time to escape with few distractions and enjoy the excitement of being engaged in a beautiful place was so perfect. Sedona will always be a little extra special to me. 🏜💛
