When I come home after a long day, one of my favorite things to do is light a few candles. They instantly set the mood for relaxation and allow me to unwind. Although I would love to venture into the art of candle making from scratch, I wanted to a way to make my own candles quickly with little mess involved. Figuring out how to make a candle in less than five minutes was definitely a game changer – I now want to turn all of the containers into candles.

Steps

1. Select a heat-safe container. Be creative! Mugs, pots, dishes, and jars are all great choices that a little chic flair. Place a small dot of hot glue on the bottom of the container and add a wick stick.

2. Fill the container with granulated wax leaving a little room at the top. Granulated wax is super easy to work with, and it comes in a variety of colors. 

3. Finally, light your candle and cozy up! Grab a blanket, a good book, and you’ll be set. 

If you’d like to add fragrance to your candles, simply place the granulated wax and a few drops of liquid fragrance in a plastic bag and shake well.

    Wow, that is easy. I always thought you had to mix the wax and then cool it down, but granulated wax looks easy. Is there a soy based version?
