The Moscow Mule

Moscow Mule Recipe

Happy weekend! I’m taking a break from all of the Junkstock preparation to bring you my current drink of choice – the Moscow Mule. This drink is an aquired taste for some as the ginger beer is somewhat of a unique flavor, but it’s one that I’ve come to crave! Originally marketed as a Smirnoff Mule, the drink was created in the 1930s as a way to help promote vodka across bars in the U.S.

This recipe is perfect for when you’re in need of something light, crisp, and refreshing. While the signature copper mug is not mandatory, it definitely adds to the experience and overall taste.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 oz vodka
  • 3 oz. ginger beer
  • 1/4 oz. lime juice
  • 1 slice lime for garnish

serves one

Pour vodka over ice and add lime juice. Top with ginger beer and stir. Garnish with lime and enjoy!
