Hello, friends. It’s been a little while since we’ve caught up. I’d like to share a major life update with you along with a look at this season’s Junkstock event.
Here we go.
A little over a month ago, I left my dream corporate job to pursue a bigger dream. I’m so grateful to announce The Anastasia Co is now my full-time gig. (!!!) This is something I have been gradually working towards over the last four years, and I honestly cannot believe it is now a reality.
Taking this leap was hands down the scariest, riskiest, best decision I’ve ever made. I wanted to make sure this was God’s will, and not just my will. I covered this decision in prayer and ultimately concluded this is exactly where He wants me to be. If something is God’s will, it doesn’t have to be forced. He is providing abundantly, opening doors and sending opportunities that have shown me this is the path I’m being called to. There are no words to describe how thrilled I am to be able to fully pour into this little business and glorify the Lord through spreading truth and encouragement.
Also, shout out to the most supportive family, friends and clients. You are my rock. I definitely can’t do this alone – it takes a village.
While my Etsy shop has been the primary focus in recent years, I’m looking forward to expanding the business strategy – which includes spending more time in the blog space, finally. You’ll be hearing from me more often ?
This year’s fall Junkstock was one of the first big events I participated in to kick off self-employment. As usual, it did not disappoint. Despite a rainy weekend, people showed up in a big way. A little water and mud doesn’t stop the passionate junkers, and there are a lot of them! Here are some photos of my space at Sycamore Farms.
Junkstock was my first show, my first everything. I have so much gratitude for Sara and her team for giving me an opportunity when I was just starting. Although I didn’t see it at the time, this event is what launched my business and helped me find my passion. A lot changes in four years… company name, products, style… and display. I’m hesitant to link to this, but here it is! My very first ever set up. Hey, you have to start somewhere.
I cannot wait to see what is next on this journey – this is just the beginning!
